How We Destroy Hard Drives for Our Clients
The process starts with scanning your hard drive serial numbers. To do so efficiently, we can scan your barcodes on your hard drive with a scanner or log them into our system manually. Our technology allows us to populate your hardware destruction paperwork so that we can provide you with a certificate of destruction and a log of the serial numbers to complete your chain of custody. These documents will be presented to you upon the completion of your service.
After we capture the serial numbers, we'll be able to start the hard drive shredding process. We have a special shredder that destroys hard drives. We simply enter the hard drive into the shredder, and it will travel up the conveyor belt and directly into the gaylord. The process goes rather quickly, and our machine can process up to 500 hard drives in an hour.
Does Hard Drive Shredding Really Work?
The final particle size is very small. Once your hard drive has been destroyed, there isn't going to be much left of it. Most of the pieces at this point will be the housing of the hard drive. The hard drive will have been completely destroyed in multiple pieces. Excess Logic provides one of the safest and most secure ways of hard drive destruction in the United States.
